WORSHIP TIME:
Sundays at 9 AM SUMMER SUNDAY WORSHIP - 9 AM Outdoor worship services will be: August 4 and August 18 Bring a lawn chair if you are able. Worship will be out in the front lawn so there is shade under the canopy. G’day, mates! Welcome to Zoomerang! As we zoom around Australia, we’ll discover some amazing animals and sights! More importantly, like a boomerang, we are returning kids to what the Bible says about the value of life. We’ll discover how precious each and every one of us is to God. From the tiniest to the oldest, each person is made in the image of God, wonderfully designed to know him and to live for him! Out of his great love, God offers us salvation through his son, Jesus. Kids will learn that life is valuable! Grab your sunnies (that’s your sunglasses!) and your mates (those are your friends) and get ready for a fair dinkum time at Zoomerang! We will be having Vacation Bible School from August 4-8, 2024 featuring the “Zoomerang” program with crafts, activities, songs, snacks and fun! Each evening will begin at 6 pm and run until 8:30 pm. It is open to kids from Age 4 to completion of 4th grade for a fee of $10 per child or $20 per family. All are welcome! Register at: www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0A49A4A922A6FA7-49990918-zoomerang#/ We are collecting full sized personal care items for the Lange home residents. If you are able, please place in the basket in the narthex by August 11th. Some ideas include; shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, shaving cream, or face cream. Thank you in advance for your generosity! |

SOME OF OUR MONTHLY STEWARDSHIP PRACTICES
Stewardship--the spiritual faith practice of applying our time, talent, and treasures toward God's mission of love and mercy in this world--is a SIGNIFICANT theme here at SSLC. Here are a couple of ways that we, for the sake of the world, practice good stewardship of what God has given us:
1st Sunday Food Pantry Offering
On the 1st Sunday of every month, we set out our Food Shelf collection box to receive the gifts from any and all who are willing and able to give.
4th Sunday Noisy Offering
Our 4th Sunday Noisy Offerings, something that you would have to experience to truly appreciate. Try to imagine, though, what a hundred dollars or more in change might SOUND like hitting the bottom of a metal paint can!! It is music to generous ears, and we believe it is music to God's ears too!!
Our Noisy Offerings are applied to other missions and ministries apart from South Santiago locally (within the Sherburne-Wright-Benton-Stearns County area), state- or nation-wide, and globally. .
Join us in constructing your own Noisy Offering box in whatever creative way you can dream up. Use it to collect your daily change. And because of God's overwhelming love revealed in the resurrection of Jesus, help us be CHANGE in our world!
