Sunday 9/30 Story and a Couple Photos

Picture
At left, Pharoah stares angrily at Pastor Thul as Moses and Aaron work through the various plagues God used to convince the Egyptians to let His people go, as well as to reintroduce Himself to them after 435 years away from the Land God had promised (and given) to Abraham).

Below: Moses and Aaron and their spouses worry as the Egyptian Army drew closer to the beachhead from which they really thought there was no exit. Moses prayed and suggested to the people they need only to watch and see what God was going to do! "The Lord will fight for you - you need only be still!"

Then God told Moses something pretty important.
Exodus 14:15: Then the Lord said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to get moving!" God then instructs Moses to lift his staff and the Red Sea parted in two - and the 12-miles trek along the seabed became available. God set up a whirlwind between the Israelites and the Egyptian Army until they had pretty much gotten through the chasm. Then the whirlwind dissipated and the chariots followed into the gulf - where they would soon drown.

Here's the point: Praying is very important and very often God will expect to partner with you in journeying forward. You don't get a seat in the audience in this life very often, people. Keep praying - and do things, too.
